Floor Plan

The Tower

After entering the estate through electric gates, the half a mile private drive leads you to the front of the house with its large gravel courtyard, allowing adequate parking for both residents and guests. A grand entrance greets those who enter through the magnificent oak doors and into the Tower of Château Haute Germaine. This stunning Entrance Hall is decorated with contemporary prints and furnishings but retains tradition with the original spiral staircase which leads guests to the first and second floor. At the top of the Tower, a spectacular mural is displayed on the high domed ceiling. Adjoined to the Entrance Hall is a convenient cloakroom for the use of guests and visitors.

The Salon

Double doors from the Entrance Hall lead to the Main Salon. A huge working stone fireplace is the focal point of the room whilst comfortable seating, interesting artworks and a piano invite guests to relax and unwind. French windows let the relaxation spill outdoors and into the adjoined Gardens with another aspect offering views out to the front courtyard.

The Library

This interesting area of the house is reached through double doors from the main Salon. The traditional wood-panelled Library has a large stone working fireplace along with a large collection of books and old periodicals. There is sound system with tuner CD player and MP hook up. In the corner of the Library is a quirky Wet Bar complete with decorative carvings and stained glass and the more practical sink and ice maker – it’s the perfect place for an evening digestif. Like the main Salon, the Library also has French Doors leading out onto the Lavender Lawn and gardens.

The Dining Room

This formal dining area is a great place to enjoy good food, wine and conversation. A grand chandelier, authentic stone fireplace and the original architect drawings that hang on the wall give the room a historic feel. Dual aspect French doors lead out onto the gardens and dining terrace for convenient al fresco dining. The Dining Room table seats 10 but can comfortably seat extra guests using chairs from the adjoining terrace. Outside, the large custom-made dining table seats up to 14 and is furthered enhanced by the powered sun shade, evening lighting and 360 degree views over the Alps, the Var Valley, and the mountain-side back to Le Broc.

The Kitchen

From the dining room, a large archway leads into a modern and fully equipped Kitchen. The high quality contemporary design includes a central island, breakfast bar, ceramic hob, twin sinks, a double oven, warming drawer and separate gas range. There are two dishwashers, a microwave oven and grill. An American-style double door fridge-freezer provides plenty of room to keep supplies cool with an additional cheese and drinks fridge provided. A laundry room below the kitchen is accessed via the courtyard and houses a 15kilo capacity washing machine/dryer. A WC and shower, available for use by our staff during working hours, is convenient for guests using the adjacent Chasse Bar.

The Sitting Room

This second reception room is furnished with comfortable sofas and a massage chair, for the ultimate in relaxation. A large flat screen TV with a DVD player, collection of DVDs and satellite tuner is also there for the entertainment of guests. The surround sound system can be linked to personal devices such as smartphones and tablets via bluetooth connection. This room is also accessible from the entrance courtyard.
